For our past few editions of Eros Zine, I have shared with you my experiences in the Digital Playground booth at the AVN Expo while trying to get some in-depth interviews for you, my patiently waiting readers. (You are patient, aren't you?)
So, after my discussions with Robby D, the fantastic director of the Jack series, and with Teagan Presley, Digital Playground's newest contract star, I thought that this time, I would try and get one of those huge names for you. You know, one of the women who absolutely drip and ooze sensuality. Who other than Jesse Jane? And fellas, let me tell you - this woman is as fantastic in person as she translates into on screen.
As I sat there waiting for Jesse to be free and sit with me for a moment, I looked around. She was swamped, and I mean surrounded, by photographers all yelling her name and trying to get her to look in their direction and pose in a certain way. I admired her patience. I would've told a few of them to go stuff themselves since they were so aggressive, but she handled everyone gracefully and tried to meet all the demands they made on her.
Let me begin by filling you in on a few pertinent facts, which I am sure you die-hard fans already know. Jesse's measurements are 34D-22-33 (hello!!), with green eyes that have perfected those sexy stares. She is blonde and stands at a mere 5'3", which surprised me. I had no idea adult stars were so tiny! She only weighs 108, and from what I saw it would seem all muscle. I'll explain that later.
Originally, Jesse was from Fort Worth, Texas. She was an incredibly bright girl, and graduated from high school with honors. She has the most sultry bedroom eyes I've seen since the femme fatales from the 40s, and her pouty mouth makes you hungry for her bottom lip jutting out in a tease.
She was in a very nice, incredibly tight peach and green floral dress with the lowest cleavage possible, which when you consider how well endowed she is, was a lot of décolletage. She was in high heels showing off those perfect gams so well. The woman has got legs that seem to go on for miles, which is impressive considering her height.
When she finally found the time to sit with me, I couldn't believe the amount of energy this tiny woman exuded. She really couldn't sit still; her gestures were emphatic, she was animated about everything, she was dynamically enthusiastic, and she seemed to respond to all my questions with a refreshing blend of honesty and straight talk.
Eros Zine: So Jesse, like a lot of the Digital Playground women, it seems you've also teamed up with California Exotic Novelties to create a toy line bearing your name.
Jesse Jane: Yeah, it's a really exciting venture for me! The first line was picked out for me, but this new line is one I have tested out personally. It was kind of like, "Aw, damn, you mean I have to masturbate all day? Work, work, work." (laughs)
Eros Zine: How exhausting for you.
Jesse Jane: Ha. But I had some really specific ideas for this new line. They molded my mouth, my ass, my cunt; there are new vibrators that I designed in a graffiti mode, I went for more radical colors, sort of a rocker-vibe vibe. Think Gwen Stefani.
Eros Zine: I know this sounds silly, but I am originally from Wisconsin, and I hear you're a Green Bay Packer fan.
Jesse Jane: Oh, definitely! I have football parties at my house each weekend, with chips and dip and the whole shebang. I think it stems back from when I was a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader that I developed my love of football.
Eros Zine: How do you keep that exquisite body of yours in shape for the camera?
Jesse Jane: Well, I am very proud of the fact that I exercise a whole lot and I just earned my AFA (American Fitness Association) Certification. But I still can eat a whole pizza by myself!
Eros Zine: Let's talk about how you became a star in the adult entertainment industry.
Jesse Jane: Well, I came to it very differently than most people. I never stripped. I worked for Hooters [Author's Note: There is a famous story of Jesse having sex in the bathroom stall at a particular Hooter's.] Then I saw Tera Patrick and thought, "My god, she's so sexy! I wonder if I could do that." I took some photos and sent them to Digital Playground. When they asked if I had an agent, I said no. Next thing I knew, they're flying me down to LA and signing me without even seeing me perform or anything - which I never had in front of a camera or anything!
Eros Zine: You had a role on Seymore Butt's Showtime show, Family Business for a while.
Jesse Jane: Yes, Adam was such a gentleman. They set that whole thing up like it was all spontaneous, but I really think it was more to help me become a name in the business. And golly, did it work! It was right about the time of AVN, and I was pretty overwhelmed by the whole thing, but again, Adam was fantastic to me.
Eros Zine: There was a whole lot of talk about a relationship between you and Adam Glasser (Seymore Butts).
Jesse Jane: Well, that was all made up for the show. He and I never had a relationship. And even when I told the press that it was all fabricated, he was nothing but a gentleman. I think incredibly highly of him, as a performer, as a director, and as a person.
Eros Zine: You've done girl-girl films as well as guy-girl films. Which do you prefer?
Jesse Jane: Cocks are good. I love a girl and guy scene because you can wrestle and really get into it. I am pretty dominant in the bedroom and I love a good sparring session - it gets me even hotter. I love when a man is bigger than me and he can just throw me around.
Eros Zine: So a light bondage and discipline theme is good for you?
Jesse Jane: Absolutely. It's all in the positions and in the eye contact. And I think you can tell that I am really enjoying the sex. I mean, there are times that I am so into it that they call "cut" and I am still going at it because I am so involved. There's also the fact that I get yelled at a lot because I am flipping around and getting into different positions 'cause I am so loving it and really am getting off and they're yelling at me, like "We can't even get a camera into that position!"
Eros Zine: Nice to have a job that you love so much.
Jesse Jane: It's the response that you get from the crowds and the critics that make it real. They can tell I am really into it. If I weren't really enjoying myself, I think it would show. And I have seen other movies where it's just that. It's boring to me. I am there to get off. That is my main goal. Anything else is gravy.
Eros Zine: There is a quote in your official press release that says, "Knowing that someone would enjoy watching me have sex is the biggest turn on I can imagine." Is that true?
Jesse Jane: Without a doubt! I am a complete exhibitionist. I adore knowing someone is getting hot watching me. I get wet knowing it's getting someone off watching me really get off. There's nothing better in the world.
Eros Zine: How involved are you in your website www.jessejane.com?
Jesse Jane: Well, we just had our final launch! I am very involved. I write up the daily diaries, I include snippets from my personal life, like photos of me and my friends just hanging out. There are video clips on there, a guestbook, a calendar for my appearances and photos you can print out. I answer all the mail, but sometimes I am out of the country or something and I get mails like "you're not writing back!" And all I can say is - I was out of the country, I am sorry!
Eros Zine: That can be difficult. But I imagine your fans think you're worth waiting for.
Jesse Jane: I hope so.
Eros Zine: So who do you admire in the business?
Jesse Jane: Traci Lords. She was really into her scene, despite all the bad press that has come out since. She was such a natural - she was like me in that she was there to have sex and to get off. And she's now broken into the mainstream. I'd love to be able to do that someday.
Eros Zine: Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Jesse Jane: I want to be a HUGE SEX ICON! (laughs) No, seriously. I hope for a long life in this industry, and with this company. It's treated me exceptionally well and has helped me develop and grow. I hope it keeps on growing.
Eros Zine: Now, the uncomfortable question - did you vote?
Jesse Jane: Er, no. I wasn't able to this year. But I think it's a serious issue, this witch-hunt against the adult entertainment industry. It's always been an issue, and it's definitely of concern, but pornography is so much more in the mainstream now, I think it would be hard to silence it completely. It's new, it's worldly, it's passion, it's art, it's enjoyment. I think people need to back off. Women have always been repressed, and it's pushed people to the limits now, I believe.
Eros Zine: How so?
Jesse Jane: Well if I shoot a movie, I have to shoot two versions - one for the European release, and one for the US release. It's just ridiculous.
Eros Zine: Final question - what are your personal fetishes?
Jesse Jane: Aaaaaah! Spanking, choking, hair pulling, bondage and discipline. I am dominant too, so I enjoy the struggle for control. Power exchange is where it's at!
